Children’s Summer Programs Go Digital at KFPL

Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) is excited to announce that their summer programming for kids is now available virtually.

Children can enjoy their favourite library programs, including Family Storytime, and Baby and Me, along with some special summer programs.

“We are offering a combination of live and recorded programs for children this summer to accommodate families’ busy schedules,” said Kristen Lemay, Programming and Outreach Librarian with KFPL. “Families have had to adapt their plans for the summer because of COVID-19. The Library is adapting to meet these needs by moving our programs online so that our programming team and youngest patrons can continue to learn and play together. We value these connections and are looking forward to interacting with everyone online.”

“There are many opportunities for children to develop literacy skills this summer by participating in library programs,” Lemay continued. “Children can learn about wild animals in our Words from the Wild program, listen to French stories and songs in L’heure du conte en français, and share their favourite books with new friends in the Junior Book Club. Our programming team is excited to connect with our youngest patrons in a new format.”
