Cataraqui Trail users take note — some sections of the trail, including four bridges, will be temporarily closed for repair and re-decking.

Beginning the week of Sept. 12, 2022, Cataraqui Conservation Operations staff will be temporarily closing sections of the trail affected by the bridge work during the day, according to a release from Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority (CRCA). Barricades will be set up and detours in place for users to get around the work area.

Affected areas include:

Bridge 1: Colebrook Rd Bridge (Yarker area)

Bridge 2: County Rd 17 Bridge (near Newburgh)

Bridge 3: Otter Creek Bridge (near Lombardy)

Bridge 4: Otter Lake Bridge (near Lombardy)

The CRCA asks trail users to please obey barricades, signs and instructions from staff in these areas. Anyone with questions or concerns is asked to contact [email protected].
