The two ice surfaces at the Cataraqui Community Centre, located at 1030 Sunnyside Road, will open for use by organizations with permitted ice use beginning Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020.

According to a release from the City of Kingston dated Friday, Sept. 25, 2020, the reopening of the twin-pad ice facility aligns with the Province’s Phase Three re-opening framework and guidance from KFL&A Public Health.

Health and safety measures have been put in place to comply with the Provincial framework and local health protocols, according to the release. These measures include capacity limits, health screenings and increased cleaning and sanitization, to ensure that the safety of staff and patrons is paramount.

The City reminds coaches, participants and support persons affiliated with ice user groups to contact the sports organization to which they belong for information about accessing the Cataraqui Community Centre and protocols specific to their sport.
