Canada Wide Warrant issued for federal offender known to frequent Kingston

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have released the above photo and are requesting public assistance in locating federal offender, Stephen Smart, who is wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant.
The OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad is currently looking for Smart as a result of his breach of statutory release, the OPP said in a press release on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022. Smart is serving a five-year sentence for:
- Criminal harassment
- Uttering threats to cause death/harm
- Breach of long term supervision order
- Extortion
- Fail to comply with probation order
Smart is described as a 48-year-old Indigenous male standing 6’2″ (188 cm) and weighing 262 lbs (119 kgs), with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a long grey coloured goatee, according to the OPP.
“The offender is known to frequent the Kingston, Toronto, Brampton, Owen Sound, Kitchener, [and] North Bay areas,” OPP said.
