Camera-mocking graffiti results in arrest, charges
A Harrowsmith woman has been charged with mischief and breach of recognizance after painting graffiti on windows in plain view of security cameras – and mocking the camera while doing so.
At 3:30 a.m. on Monday, May 14, the 36-year-old woman entered a bank vestibule in Kingston’s west end on Princess Street. The woman proceeded to paint text on the windows while the security cameras recorded, including some text “mocking the camera,” according to a press release from Kingston Police. A warrant was issued for her arrest following the act of mischief, police say.
Two weeks later, at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Monday, May 28, the accused was observed by a patrol officer in the area of Princess Street at Sydenham Street. The accused was arrested, transported to police headquarters, and held to attend bail hearing.
