Bus fire in Greater Napanee knocked down quickly

There were no injuries and Greater Napanee Fire Services quickly knocked down a vehicle fire on Heritage Park Drive on the afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023.

Firefighters arrived on scene of the fire in the quiet residential area at approximately 3:40 p.m.. At that time, the bus, which appeared to be a decommissioned school bus that had been converted to an RV, was fully involved, said Kevin Duncan, Deputy Chief of Greater Napanee Fire Services.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, and damage was contained to the bus. The fire source is believed to have been a propane refrigerator.
