Beechgrove Assessment Centre moves to reduced summer hours

The COVID-19 Community Assessment Centre in Kingston will be operating with reduced hours beginning Friday, Jul. 1, 2022.
“With declining COVID-19 prevalence in our community, which has translated into less demand for PCR COVID-19 testing at this time, the Beechgrove COVID-19 Assessment Centre will be reducing its hours of operation throughout the summer months,” KHSC said in a media release dated Tuesday, Jun. 21, 2022.
According to KHSC, the change allows the Assessment Centre to continue supporting current PCR testing volumes while also wisely stewarding its resources over the summer.
Beginning Friday, Jul. 1, 2022, the Assessment Centre, located at 51 Heakes Lane in the Beechgrove Complex south of the King Street West/Portsmouth Avenue intersection, will be closed on weekends and statutory holidays. The hours of operation are now Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Individuals requiring COVID-19 PCR testing on the weekend will be able to access this service through select local pharmacies listed at www.KingstonHSC.ca/COVID19,” KHSC stated. “You are asked to call the pharmacy before accessing their PCR testing services.”
