UPDATE: Arrested — Police seek assistance to locate man and woman wanted for armed robberies

Update (Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020): Police wish to thank the public after local robbery suspects Leslie Ann Brown and Jayme Shawn Syring were arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020 in Barrie, Ontario.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 31 year old female, Leslie Ann Brown, and a 29 year old man, Jayme Shawn Syring, in connection with armed robberies on Montreal Street and Rideau Street over the last two weeks.

According to Kingston Police, on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020 an armed robbery took place in the 300 block of Montreal Street. The investigation resulted in an arrest warrant being issued for Leslie Ann Brown for one count of Robbery and several counts of weapons related offences.

Another armed robbery occurred on Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, in the area of Rideau Street and Montreal Street. This investigation also resulted in an arrest warrant being issued for Leslie Ann Brown for one count of Robbery and several counts of weapons related offences. An additional arrest warrant was issued for Brown’s co-accused in this robbery, 29 year old male, Jayme Shawn Syring.

Police say they have made extensive efforts to locate Brown and Syring but to date these efforts have achieved negative results.  

Brown and Syring should be considered dangerous, according to Kingston Police.
