Aggressive driving leads to arrest of impaired driver three times over the legal limit

A 39-year-old Kingston man has been arrested and charged after he was found to be driving with over 80 mg of alcohol in his system.
A patrol officer noticed the man driving at a high rate of speed and making multiple lane changes on Bath Road at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018. As the accused driver turned onto Days Road, the officer pulled him over and determined the accused was impaired by alcohol. The accused was arrested and taken to Kingston Police Headquarters where he provided two breath alcohol samples. He was found to have approximately three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system, and charged with impaired driving and operating a vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol in his system.
The accused was later released with a future court date, according to a press release from Kingston Police. His driver’s license is automatically suspended for 90 days, and he will face a one-year suspension if convicted. His vehicle was seized and impounded for seven days, and he will be responsible for all associated fees and fines.
