Advance voter turnouts up in Kingston area ridings

Before polls even opened up on Election Day, October 21 2019, tens of thousands of Kingston and area voters had already made their voices heard in advance polls.
In fact, Elections Canada says that many more local voters took advantage of advance polling this year than in the past federal election in 2015.
According to Elections Canada, there were 16,806 advance voters in the riding of Kingston & The Islands, up from 15,495 in 2015.
The advance poll numbers were also up significantly in the riding of Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston. In this current election, 16,368 electors took to the early polls in that riding, versus only 13,059 in 2015.
