Additional frost advisory issued for Kingston and area

For the second day in a row, Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for Kingston and the area.
The second frost advisory was issued on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 3:18 p.m., and is in effect for the Kingston, Odessa, Frontenac Islands, Napanee, Consecon, Picton, and Sandbanks Park areas.
The national weather agency advises that temperatures will drop as low as -3C on the night of Tuesday, May 12, 2020, resulting in frost and freeze conditions. Frost is also possible for the night of Wednesday, May 13, 2020, Environment Canada said.
“These conditions may damage or destroy tender fruit crops and other frost sensitive plants,” the advisory reads. “Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.”
