401 westbound closed west of Brockville following serious collision

Highway 401 westbound was closed just west of Brockville following a serious crash between a transport and at least one passenger vehicle on Good Friday.

Emergency crews responded to the collision in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 at around 9:30 a.m. Initial reports indicated that an eastbound transport crossed the median of the highway for an unknown reason and then collided with one or more passenger vehicles in the westbound lanes.

The westbound lanes of Highway 401 remained closed between Mallorytown Road (IC 675) and Reynolds Road (IC 659) until about 8:30 p.m.
