Artisan Made Co is a brick and mortar shop located at 1724 Bath Road Unit 9 & 10, in the West End of Kingston. They opened their retail shop and creative studio on October 1, 2020.

The ladies of Artisan Made Co say it has been a labour of love, and an absolute dream come true. Casual shoppers can drop by their retail shop Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There’s lots of free parking, and they are accessible to all.

Two years ago, YGK Artisan Market was founded as a not-for-profit market that supported shopping local and giving back to local charities. Jessica Pecore, the market’s founder, had a vision that would highlight local artisans and makers.

She and Ravlin Roy, aka Earthly Mama, a local lifestyle photographer, spent the early fall designing a space where makers can come together to showcase their talents and beautiful, handmade products.

“We are so excited to make this retail shop a place where makers are welcome and where we can strive to promote shopping small and supporting our local Canadian talent every day,” Jessica shared with Kingstonist.

This holiday season, Artisan Made Co has plenty of opportunities to shop Canadian brands and local small businesses, entrepreneurs, and artisans from Kingston, Ontario, and beyond.

The Artisan Made Co Creative Studio is hosting socially distanced events through the holiday shopping season:

Simply Boho Market – “This two day event showcases trendy, bohemian and handmade,” explained Ravlin. “We will be featuring a wide variety of collections from upcycled headbands, to macrame pieces for the home, to a vintage clothing collection and more.”

The Simply Boho Market runs Friday Nov. 13 and Saturday Nov. 14, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there is no cost to attend

“I am very grateful for all the support from makers and community members over the years, as embarking on this new chapter would not have been possible without all of you,” expressed Jessica. “We encourage our local community to continue supporting artisans during the COVID climate. As we approach the holiday season we are offering a variety of ways to shop local in our retail shop, at our creative studio holiday mini markets, and online as we kick off our Virtual Holiday Collection on November 15th. We offer free curbside pick up and flat rate tracked shipping across Canada to make holiday shopping during the COVID climate as easy as possible!”
