Last month I had the pleasure of unveiling the Luso Sessions, a locally made video series that showcases intimate performances by musicians who happen to be passing through Kingston. This project is lovingly produced by Christina Mac, a Music and Digital Media student in her final year of studies at St. Lawrence College. In case you missed the first episode of the Luso Sessions, you can catch up on what you missed here: Nick Ferrio performs Half The Time.
In advance of The Wooden Sky’s return to the Limestone City on March the 5th, today I’m pleased to share another gem from the Luso Sessions featuring the band’s lead singer, Gavin Gardiner. His solo performance, recorded during the band’s last visit to Kingston in October 2013, is gritty and soulful, while it offers a perfect glimpse of this truly talented band. Hit play below and let Gavin’s untitled track creep into your playlist.
If you like what you hear, please be sure to pick up a tick to The Wooden Sky’s live show next month at The Grad Club.
Can we count on your support of as little as $5/month to keep us going?
