The Grocery Basket offers fresh, local food and a Kingston patio like no other

The Grocery Basket is a great local store and café located in the heart of downtown Kingston, and offering a view of the city many have yet to take in.
You can enjoy their beautiful rooftop patio (after climbing A LOT of stairs, but worth the view) on the warm days with a lovely handmade latte and a baked good.
The Grocery Basket prides itself in only using products found in their store to bring the highest quality of in-house made goods, which are made fresh daily. Their peanut butter brownies are delightful and hit the spot if you are looking to have a perfectly chewy brownie. Their banana bread is made from fresh bananas and has that homemade taste that will bring back warm memories.
They also have a sandwich bar, which makes it the perfect spot for lunch – especially on sunny days, when you can take advantage of the patio. They have a wide selection of local, artisanal meats and cheese brought freshly from local farmers to the store. To provide us with finest product, The Grocery Basket uses local ingredients wherever possible,
On your way out, you can grab some local, organic groceries to enjoy at the comfort of your own home – or skip the work, and bring home one of their ready-made meals, which are prepared on site using only the products available in the store.
The Grocery Basket offers catering for your events, as well as cooking classes if you are interested in learning how to cook using fresh, local groceries. The cooking classes are held on Thursday evenings from 6 to 8pm. Find out more by visiting their website here.
Please note the rooftop patio opens at 10am.
