Best of 2017: Best Winery in Prince Edward County

One of the greatest benefits of living in Kingston is the city’s geographic location.  We’re practically equidistant to large getaway destinations such as Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, and we have amazing communities dotting our perimeter.  From Sydenham to Merrickville and Perth, there’s a number of alluring places well within reach to keep us entertained, enriched and well-fed.  Of course, one of the most popular destinations is Prince Edward County, and that’s largely owing to the area’s burgeoning wine, craft beer and agricultural scene.

In recent years, the County has attracted an increasing number of daytrippers off the 401.  That has been a huge boon to the economy, but it’s also been blow to anyone searching for certain vintages from certain wineries late in the season.  Simply put, if you wait too long, the County won’t wait for you.  Bottom line: make plans to pick up your favourite bottles from your favourite producers early on, and take advantage of those who offer free or affordable shipping to Kingston.
