Best Wedding Reception Venue in Kingston
Wedding season is upon us! Harvey and I just returned from a lovely party in Toronto this past weekend. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was hip and beautiful and the staff were friendly and efficient. Add fun friends, great music and a lot of love and you have a truly wonderful way to spend a day. It was everything a couple could hope for on such a momentous day.
Aside from the actual wedding ceremony, there are many factors to consider when choosing the venue for your wedding reception. And, when it comes down to it, the best wedding reception venue in Kingston, Ontario, is really a subjective matter that depends on personal preference and past experiences. The convenience of getting there for your guests, parking, venue size, food and drink options, decor and of course, price, all factor in to the equation. Full disclosure: while I didn’t get married in Kingston, I do go to a lot of weddings here as a musician. I have played at just about every venue in Kingston and the surrounding area, so I’ve seen it all: from elaborate to thrifty, over the top themes to simple. While I don’t eat or get a chance to dance during these functions, I do get a good sense for the food, the staff and the atmosphere in general. My overall impression is that we have a lot of really great places to throw a party in and around ygk. The question is, which ones are the most popular? This week, we want to know:

Kingston Yacht Club is not on the list but it really should be.
Do you have to be a member, or sponsored by one, to have your wedding there? Their website doesn't specify.
You don't have to be a member to book the Kingston Yacht Club. It seems popular to have the wedding in the Gazebo near Murney Tower, pictures by the gardens and water, and then the reception at KYC.
Hey Kingston!
Non-members are totally welcome to book our facilities for their wedding.

Italo Canadian Club also very nice. Had our parent's 50th anniversary there this weekend. Food wonderful, serving staff lovely.
The River Mill is an excellent choice for groups up to 80.
Many attractive wineries available in nearby Prince Edward County
