Baking With Peja

Baking with PejaA while back I stumbled across Baking with Peja, an online cooking show overflowing with cuteness, featuring the pint-sized hostess slash chef, Peja Hanako.  The series, which is filmed here in Kingston, is now in its second season of dishing out easy recipes and mouth watering baked goods.  Although the show is not yet an online sensation, I couldn’t resist sharing it with local baking enthusiasts, chocoholics and lovers of cute. Seriously, Epic Meal Time and My Drunk Kitchen pale in comparison to Peja’s adorable culinary prowess.

The duration of each episode is relatively condensed, which appeals to casual bakers with short attention spans and parents who are in need of a hands-on project to satisfy idle hands.  Peja has confidently created everything from peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and blueberry banana bread muffins to molasses crinkles and more recently, kale chips (embedded below).  The icing on the cake would have to be the familiar tunes by Jay and the Barn Flyz running through most episodes, and the entertaining exchanges Peja has with family members who are seemingly unaware that she has her very own cooking show.  Enjoy!

  • How cute is she? This should be sent to the Food Network!

    • Why? It's got cooking in it, they're only interested in cupcakes and the wars fought therefor.
