BGC South East now offering year-round programs in Loyalist Township
In an effort to provide opportunities in multiple communities, and increase the level of service, Loyalist Township is partnering with BGC South East (formerly known as the Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area) for the delivery of day camp programs effective Friday, Apr. 1, 2022.
BGC South East will provide child care recreation programs, including camps, in Loyalist Township, in addition to the possibility of offering future after-school programming. According to a release from BGC South East, programming will expand beyond the current offerings available in Amherstview (summer camps, winter break, March break and PA days) to include day camp opportunities in Amherstview, Bath and Odessa.
“This partnership with BGC South East is incredibly exciting for Township residents, as it expands the reach of child-care recreation programming throughout the Township allowing more families access to this needed service,” said Loyalist Township Mayor Ric Bresee.
BGC South East has a long history of providing not only fun and engaging but affordable and safe day camp offerings in the communities they serve. According to the release, Loyalist Township welcomes their expansion.
“We are excited to be partnering with Loyalist Township to expand access to our quality, trusted, and affordable child-care programs,” said Greg Dobney, BGC Chair, Board of Directors for BGC South East. “BGC South East is committed to providing safe, educational, and accessible programs that Loyalist children and families can count on.”
BGC South East plans to offer PA Day camps in Amherstview on Friday, Apr. 29, 2022, and Friday, Jun. 3, 2022.
Summer camp begins Monday, Jul. 4, 2022, and will be offered in Amherstview and Bath. Due to school renovations, the organization said that there will be no camp in Odessa, however, if there is sufficient need, transportation will be provided to attend the Amherstview camps for children four to 12 years of age. Details will be on the BGC South East website once confirmed. Registration opens on Monday, Apr. 4, 2022, at 8 a.m.
