Local photographer Carolina Rojas is exhibiting her work at Salon 296. The exhibition opened in September 28th, 2018 with the event Art After Dark. Exhibition continues until December 29th, 2018. Carolina Rojas is a Kingston, Ontario photographer whose work has been exhibited across the city, including Gallery Raymond, Window Gallery and Unit 115 at the Tett Centre. One of her images is currently on display in "Paved Paradise", a pop up exhibition organized by The City of Kingston located next to Kingston City Hall. Join us as we commemorate the 14 women murdered at l’Ecole Polytechnique in 1989, as well as the local women, and honour all women who live and have died as a result of gender based and racialized violence. Candlelight vigil and music by The Caledonias. We must not forget that even this year women were particularly targeted in a gender based crime when an individual ran a van onto the sidewalks in Toronto aiming to hit and kill women.
