The Skeleton Park Community Songbook: The Gertrudes

The Skeleton Park Community Songbook, The GertrudesIn my search for some good tunes to share and help set us up for a fantastic Fall weekend, I came across the latest addition to the Skeleton Park Community Songbook. Hopefully you’ve heard of this project already, but in case you haven’t the Skeleton Park Community Songbook is being led by organizers of the Skeleton Park Music Festival, in collaboration with 12 different groups of local musicians, and various community organizations. Live recordings of all of the performances will be combined onto a compilation DVD, while the associate sheet music is also being made available. The ultimate goal of the Community Songbook is to stimulate Kingstonians to share and learn more about the local music scene.

Thus far Kingstonist has featured three tunes from the Songbook:
