#ygkChallenge: Skeleton Park Arts Festival 2017

Skeleton Park Arts Festival, McBurney Park, Kingston, OntarioThe #ygkchallenge is an ongoing series where we dare you to be different, resolve to be better, and or do something awesome in support of our beloved community. Each week, Kingstonist establishes a new, ambitious or quirky goal, encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone and do something great, and hopefully a little out of the ordinary. By taking part in this community-wide initiative, we hope to make Kingston (and the world) a slightly better place to live, work and play.

This week’s #ygkchallenge encourages you to:

Enjoy the Skeleton Park Arts Festival! Last night marked the first day of Kingston’s 11th Skeleton Park Arts Festival. Since it’s inception in 2006, the festival has grown from a one day party with a focus on music, to a five day event featuring music, art, theatre, film and more. This year’s fest includes an outdoor screening of Jay Middaugh’s film “LIVE in Kingston”; yoga and aqua fit with live musical accompaniment; performances by The Barefoot Players; family games and activities; the new Hillside Poetry Stage; music by Fred Penner, Old Man Ludecke and Sarah Harmer (to name a few), and of course, the annual Porch Jazz Parade. This just scratches the surface of all the great events taking place this week so be sure to check out our Guide to the Skeleton Park Arts Festival for the full listing. See you at the park!

Join us in completing this week’s #ygkchallenge by liking it on Facebook and/or re-Tweeting it on Twitter. By liking and sharing, you’re not only committing to doing something great, but you’re also helping us spread the word and hopefully encouraging others to participate.
