Are you still looking for something to do this New Year’s Eve? As the holiday shopping crowds have dispersed, NYE is the perfect time to head on down to Market Square to celebrate, and take in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities/events as a part of Kingston’s annual Rockin’ at the Clock. A complete list of associated events is as follows:

Until 10pm – Skating at Market Square
4pm til 5pm – Synchro and Figure skating exhibition
4pm til 7:30pm – Free Horse Drawn Wagon Rides
4pm til 9pm – Art Display: featuring work from H’art Studios and Grade 8 Calvin Park L.E.A.P. (Limestone Education through the Arts Program) students
5pmShout Sister: an energetic, upbeat choir led by Blues great, Georgette Fry
5:45pm & 7:30pm – The Puppet Tamer: Tim Holland presents this wacky new puppet show. Through Cheap Trickery and Genuine Magic, master ventriloquist Tim Holland will convince you of the dangers inherent in the taming of ferocious and uncooperative puppets.
6pm – H’art School of Smiles: a Musical Revue from their show, ‘Newton Finds a Home’
7pmTangible Ears: a great, local band reunites for New Years Eve
7:45pm – Filet of Soul: Kingston’s hottest R&B band
8:45pm – Spectacular Fireworks Finale: put a fork in 2008 with a magnificent fireworks display over Confederation Basin. This event is best viewed on the steps of City Hall.
