Queen’s College Journal, 1873

Queen’s College JournalAbove is an image of the first page of the first volume of the Queen’s College Journal. This newspaper has been continuously published since 1873, and while it is a wealth of information about the University it also provides early information on Kingston. Many of the articles report on local topics and at least one page in each issue seems to be dedicated to advertising for public events, local book sellers, hatters, boot sellers and clothiers. Queen’s Archives has had the first five years digitized and they are all available for public viewing here.
