PS I Love You: Facelove

snow plow, Mr. Plow, Kingston snow removal, winter in KingstonBack in March of ’06, we wrote about and gave away a copy of the Friends of Skeleton Park CD. This compilation album has logged some serious hours in my car’s CD player, and while I thoroughly enjoyed tracks by Kyra and Tully, Chris Brown and others, I was particularly taken with P.S. I Love You’s song titled Facelove.  A few weeks ago, we received a tip that Paul Saulnier and Benjamin Nelson, aka P.S. I Love You, had received a nod from Pitchfork, who cited their love for the same ferociously catchy single.  The review goes on to say that:

Facelove is a towering tribute to art of the build, helmed by juicy, punched-up guitar work that demands to be felt (if not just plain gawked at).

This reinvigorated my interest in the song, which subsequently led to a discovery that P.S. I Love You had created a music video for Facelove. How could I have possibly missed this?  The video looks to have been shot in some derelict industrial space, which the band fills with their awesome sound.  Paul helps liven the place up by sporting his trademark cumulonimbus look.  Hit play on the video below, and be on the look out for P.S. I Love You’s upcoming album, which is being released on March 15th.
