As we approach the final long weekend of the summer, the return to the classroom and/or office is imminent. Admittedly, I’d rather be back outside tending to the garden, going for a refreshing swim at the lake, or hitting play one last time on my summer 2014 playlist. Accordingly, what better time than now to dip back into The Luso Sessions (a locally made video series that showcases intimate performances by musicians) and share a pair of songs that we can enjoy as we ride out the remainder of the month. Created by Christina Mac for her final project in Music and Digital Media at St. Lawrence College, The Luso Sessions captured various musical talents performing around Kingston, such as Old Haunt‘s show at the Goat last winter. Old Haunt are: Lucas Huang, Matt Rogalsky, Chris Trimmer and others. Hit play below to allow their performance of Scatter and January 3 coax you into September.
For those who may have missed past installments of The Luso Sessions that were featured on Kingstonist, please take some time to explore the project via the links below.
- Nick Ferrio: Half The Time
- Gavin Gardiner – Untitled
- Craig Cardiff – Recovering
- Rae Corcoran – Untitled
- Hollerado – Americanarama
Once again, thanks to Christina Mac and those who contributed to the The Luso Sessions.
And we'd love to bring you more.
