Attention all Leonard Cohen fans! This just in!

The Choir!Choir!Choir! performance on Wednesday, Jun. 12, 2019 as part of foldA at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts will feature the well-loved Canadian musician, songwriter and poet, as they invite the audience to become part of the choir for Cohen’s Hallelujah.

“The audience turns into the choir after they receive lyric sheets at the door and are then taught and inspired to perform the song through laughter and musical leadership. If you crave authentic community arts and culture experiences you will not want to miss being a part of this powerful and joyful choir rendition of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah,” foldA said in a press release on Monday, Jun. 10, 2019.

Even more impressive than the chance to sing along and enjoy the music while 400 audience members in Kingston sing, the performance will include 400 different audience members who are live streaming from four hubs across Canada. The audience will practice the vocal arrangement, execute final performance which is captured in a YouTube video (like this one). Then, everyone involved at all four hubs will come together through the power of technology and music — a unique experience, and one that has given Choir!Choir!Choir! their cult following across North America.

The performance is one night only, and tickets are available at the Isabel Bader Box office ((613) 533-2424) or at www.foldA.ca
