Miss Emily: Land Of Greed

The music video for Land of Greed by Miss Emily is from her recently released 5th studio album titled In Between. Fans of a little-known band called The Tragically Hip will undoubtedly notice the familiar faces of Rob Baker and Gord Sinclair, both of whom are featured on the album.

The video for Land of Greed focuses on an eclectic group of people who are gathered at ‘Artaud’s Cafe’, a fictitious venue that is bristling with “self-indulgence, companionship, longing and love”. The concept for the video, which was Directed by Max Montalvo, was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s Le Café de nuit & René Magritte’s La trahison des images.

Keen observers will also note that Artaud’s Cafe bears a striking resemblance to The Grad Club.
