Kingstonist’s Greatest Photo Contest: Winner

Greatest Photo Contest, Kingston, OntarioWe are pleased to announce the winner of Kingstonist’s Greatest Photo Contest (June 2016 edition)! Over the past two weeks, a cast of new and familiar local photographers have been duking it out in an effort to earn bragging rights, as well as the top prize (a $50 gift certificate to either Camera Kingston or Kingston Frameworks). Once again, our readers responded with great enthusiasm, propelling Dark Arts Astrophotography to the top in a very tight race against the other talented competitors.

Congratulations to all of the finalists, and our sincere thanks to each and every photographer who uploaded their work to our Flickr group. We continue to be amazed by the outstanding quality of the photos submitted and are thrilled to see new members continue to join our group and share their best shots. Our bi-annual contest has once again highlighted the depth of talent in Kingston’s photographic scene, which we will continue to support by way of showcasing the works of local photographers and via future friendly competitions. Thanks to everyone who voted. Keep snapping away, Kingston!

I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this contest. There's a lot of talent in the Kingstonist Flickr group. To have one of my photos selected was a thrill in itself. To win it was an honour, considering the other great images that were being judged.

Thank you to everyone who voted for my picture!
