Kingstonist’s Greatest Photo Contest: Winner

Kingstonist's Greatest Photo Contest, Kingston, OntarioWe are pleased to announce the winner of Kingstonist’s Greatest Photo Contest (June 2017 edition)! Over the past two weeks a group of photographers from our Flickr pool have been enjoying a friendly competition to crown one photo the Greatest Photo of ygk in winter/spring 2017. In addition to bragging rights, the winner will also receive a gift certificate to either Camera Kingston or Kingston Frameworks. The race was very tight with fewer than 10 votes between first and second place. A big congratulations to Troy Johnson who’s photo “Overlooking the City from the Fort” propelled him into first place with 32% of the vote.

Congratulations to all of the finalists, and our sincere thanks to each and every photographer who uploaded their work to our Flickr pool. We are constantly amazed by the great shots our readers post. Want to know how you can participate in our next contest, or have one of your photos used in a post? Join our group and share your best shots of ygk. We use this group as a source for posts and every December and June we pick our favourites for our Greatest Photo Contest.
