Kingstonist’s Greatest Photo Contest
Just over two week ago we announced our tenth Greatest Photo Contest, which challenged local photographers to submit their best pictures of Kingston to our awesome Flickr group. Last weekend, we took on the difficult task of narrowing down the submissions to eight finalists. Once again, it’s up to you, our readers, to help us choose the best photo. As always, Kingstonist appreciates the efforts of all those who’ve joined and continue to upload photos to our Flickr group. We use the group regularly as a source for photos, so even if your submission wasn’t selected or doesn’t win the top prize, there’s a good chance we’ll find a way to prominently feature it with due credit coming.
The scaled photos from the finalists are all linked to the originals on Flickr. We highly recommend you click through in order to see them all in high resolution. In no particular order, the finalists are:
At The End Of The Tunnel by Martha _P (left). City Hall Reflection by Sadaf Rahman (right).
Sunset over RMC by Ryan Warner (left). Cookes Fine Foods Reflections by Emily Pollock (right).
Light and Shadows by Iris van Loon (left). Kingston Penitentiary by John Laframboise (right).
Wolfe Island Ferry by Trey Eden (left). Rockwood by Sean Hickman (right).
My pick for Kingstonist's Greatest Photo is:
- Sadaf Rahman (42%, 141 Votes)
- Martha _P (19%, 63 Votes)
- Ryan Warner (17%, 56 Votes)
- John Laframboise (16%, 55 Votes)
- Iris van Loon (4%, 14 Votes)
- Emily Pollock (2%, 6 Votes)
