Kingston Assistancy Christmas Effort

Kingston Assistancy Christmas Effort, Queen's ArchivesToday’s photograph is a mystery to us at Queen’s Archives. It is from Kingston, as is noted on the chalk board tally which states the Kingston Assistancy Christmas Effort. It is perhaps some form of benevolent society, or perhaps fundraising effort by an organization for the Christmas season? Perhaps it is related to war efforts? The props in the photo do nothing to help in determining what business or benefit this group may espouse. There are Canadian, British and American flags, a trophy of some kind and what looks to be some barbering supplies. If you have any ideas, please feel free to share them.
