waterfront, fog, Kingston, OntarioToday’s photo comes courtesy of Matt Pedlar, and it shows off a fantastic scene taking place along Kingston’s waterfront. If you stare long enough, you’ll notice the blades of the Wolfe Island Wind Farm peaking out from the fog bank. I wonder if there any other treasures hidden therein?

Speaking of surprises, this week we learned that the newest addition to the King’s Crossing shopping outlet will likely be Levis.  Brand preferences aside, is this the sort of store that’s going to attract huge amounts of traffic to the centre, or was Levis the only company interested in leasing space?  Further, don’t we already have enough denim purveyors in the Cataraqui Town Centre?  Otherwise, we also learned that a new steak house, the Raging Bull, will be taking up residence at 189 Ontario Street.  And although one could easily argue that downtown Kingston has enough red meat, there is no such thing as too many great steak restaurants.

Last night we enjoyed a fantastic show at The Mansion, while the big wheels keep on turning all weekend long.  This evening you can check out Diamond Rings and P.S I Love You, who are hosting their CD release party at the Queen’s Grad Club. Tomorrow, Emily Fennel and friends will be busking for change, raising funds and awareness for War Child in front of the Grand Theatre.  In case you’re more of a night owl, you can always head on back to the Grad Club on Saturday to check out Zeus and The Great Bloomers.  TGIF!
