Friday Foto

Female wintering cardinal, bird watching, Kingston, Ontario

It’s cold and it’s snowy but the days are getting longer and I can smell spring in the air so it’s time to consider coming our of hibernation and this weekend is a great time to do it!  I haven’t plugged any shows recently so I figured today would be a good day for that since there is so much great entertainment happening in Kingston this weekend.

Tonight alone you can see NQ Arbuckle at The Grad Club, Girls with Glasses at L’Octave presented by Live Wire, Unconscious Encore at The Mansion, Brasswerks at Sydenham St. United or cheer on The Frontenacs as they battle the Belleville Bulls at the KRock Centre.

Saturday will be just as eventful with Jesse Zubot at the Mansion, Off the International Radar (also at the Mansion), Layla Zoe presented by the Blues Society at Confederation Place Hotel, Rubbaboo at Studio 22, Jim Bryson and the Weakerthans at the Grad Club or you can see the stars at the Queen’s Observatory.

The fun doesn’t end on Sunday.  Head to the library to catch Broadview presented by the Jazz Society and don’t forget that Theatre Kingston’s L’Homme Invisible as well as artignite, are still running!

Wow, on weekends like this, the Friday post kind of writes itself.  We’re pretty lucky to have all this great entertainment to choose from – hope you don’t mind my desire to push and plug and promote it all.  I plan to get out to support my scene this weekend, hope you’ll do the same! …now it’s just a matter of deciding what to attend….

TGIF y’all!

Special thanks to Michel (Mike) Soucy for today’s photo.
