Friday Foto
Too soon? After this week’s debate about Christmas lights I wasn’t sure if this was the right picture for this week but then I realized that tomorrow is the Downtown Santa Claus Parade and I just added a bunch of Christmas craft sales to our calendar…so I’ve given in. Given in to the lights and the shopping and to my violin students who want to learn carols. So, get out your ugliest reindeer sweater and let the madness begin!
Don’t forget to bring a non-perishable donation to the parade for The Partners in Mission Food Bank. For the 18th year in a row, volunteers will walk the parade in green vests to collect, so keep your eyes open for them. If you’re heading to another event tomorrow night such as The Kingston Symphony concert, Woodhands at The Grad Club, Boru’s Harp at The Nog, The Fast Romantics at The Mansion or, if you magically managed to attain tickets to The Buddy Holly Story, be sure to account for traffic from the parade. I’ve made that mistake more than once and found myself next to a barricade arguing with one of Kingston’s finest that “I need to be on stage right now!”, so a little pre-planning is always a good idea.
Since we won’t be able to attend the parade ourselves this weekend, we hope we can rely on all you great readers to upload your favourite pics from the parade to our flickr pool. And while you’re at it, feel free to add anything else Kingston related, we love to see your shots!
Have a great weekend!
