I hate to sound boring, but can you believe the weather we’re having. One day it’s gorgeous enough for shorts, and the next we’re forced to bring our mittens and toques out of the shortest retirement in history. The wind literally cut through my jacket this morning, which is unnerving considering the equinox was last weekend. If Old Man Winter is reading this, please note that the eviction notice was sent weeks ago. You’re not welcome ’round these parts anymore.
I must admit that I had almost given up on the Kingston Frontenacs’ chances in the post-season, as they dropped the first two games to Brampton. However, the Fronts bounced back to win game three and four, thereby tying the series and putting a lot of importance on tonight’s match at the K-Rock Centre. I honestly am not an avid OHL fan, nor am I a regular spectator at the LVEC, however I’m seriously considering shelling out some cash, and being there to support the home team this evening.
Tomorrow night will be equally as busy around the Limestone City, although you might not think it if you are walking around the downtown. In case you’re wondering why everything is pitch black between 7 and 8pm, it’s in support of Earth Hour. We’ll be taking our house off of the grid tomorrow night, and I’ll likely be headed down to Market Square to take in the candle-lit concert featuring a slew of local bands. What about you? Will you be joining in the Earth Hour fun, or do you still think that global warming is a myth?
Today’s photo from our Flickr pool comes courtesy of Will S, and it shows off two birds of a different feather. Even though we’re on the fringe of Spring, I still wish we had of ventured down south this last season. I suppose it’s never too late for a last minute vacation! TGIF!
