War Memorial in Kingston
Just when we thought old man winter was behind us, he made it in front of us in the line at the grocery store, paying for his purchase with pennies, stopping every once in a while to tell the cashier how much radishes and mustard seed used to cost back in the day. As we agonizingly anticipate a return to warmer temperatures, song birds and sandals with socks, I can’t help but hold onto images of last week’s big snow melt. The Jimmer’s amazing shot of the War Memorial in City Park shows off the receding snow and a mix of darkness and fog. Although the soldier is probably calling troops forward, I’d like to think that he is coaxing Spring to the front line. Be sure to check out more of The Jimmer’s work on Flickr. Viva la weekend!
