This week I thought we’d feature something a little different for our photo. Local musician and artist Michael Pearson has a collection of wonderful paintings and sketches that he has done of various buildings, people and events around Kingston. You may know Michael better as Tully from local folk duo Kyra and Tully. Fixtures on the Kingston music scene, they have been doing their thing locally on their own terms, regularly jamming and performing with some of Kingston’s best-known homegrown talent such as Ember Swift, Gentleman Reg, Luther Wright and Jenny Whiteley, to name a few. Both their music and Tully’s art can be found in various locations around town such as Made4You, Brian’s Record Option and Tourist Info Office. You can also see them play live at an all ages show with Jay and The Barn Flyz on Saturday, February 21st from 7-9pm at The Salvation Army Church (326 Alfred).
