Friday Foto
I really wish mother nature would make up her mind. Last night we faced off against a torrential downpour and gale-force winds, but at least the funnel clouds stayed away. Otherwise, for the better part of this week, we were finally treated to summer, however the air left a majority of us feeling sticky, and idle. It was so hot that we considered going for a dip somewhere along Kingston’s shoreline, but after inspecting the KFL&A Public Health Beach Report, we decided to sweat it out on the shore. Simply put, there’s not enough information listed on the KFL&A website to give people a warm and fuzzy feeling about the quality and safety our local beaches. So, unless you’ve got a pool connection, or are willing to drive out to the Sandbanks, chances are you won’t be cooling off with a dip. Speaking of the Sandbanks, today’s photo is brought to you by oceanaria. Jealous?
Two weekends remain in August, and it’s hard to believe that we’ll soon be watching Summer fade away in the rear view mirror. With the Voice Off with Bear Thomas, Big Gun Run for Easter Seals, and the Kraft Celebration Tour for the Kingston Family YMCA all taking place this weekend, there’s no shortage of things to see and do. So get out there, and enjoy it while you still can.
based on the photos in the rest of the series i suspect this is from big sandy bay
