Four views of Kingston Mills

Kingston Mills
From the Ina Acton Album, V126.2

For over one hundred and fifty years, Kingston Mills has long been a destination for many Kingstonians looking for a day-trip, afternoon picnic or morning walk. Along with City Hall and the Martello towers, Kingston Mills was photographed repeatedly over time as an iconic image of the area: with a mill, a blockhouse, locks and a train bridge, it is the very image of progress. Although the lock is not yet open for the season, the grounds are always available for investigation and wandering. Parks Canada has a lovely walking tour posted on their website, so why not pack a lunch and continue the Kingston tradition.
