End of Summer Bucket List
How dare I even utter (or type…) those words together?! End and summer.. it’s so sad but it’s the inevitable truth. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve seen back to school signs going up in stores, fall displays in windows and the berry picking farms are starting to advertise for pumpkin season. Sigh.
The good news is, it’s not over yet and we still have two glorious weeks before school starts for most of us. So, the question is, what do you still need to do this summer? I’ve been pretty good about fulfilling my own wish list. I’ve done a lot of shopping at Market Square, I made it out to the Princess Street Promenade, I attended a few shows in the Music in the Park Series at Confederation Basin and I’ve done my share of swimming, kayaking and dock sitting on some of our gorgeous lakes on the outskirts of town.
Things I have yet to do, but hope to accomplish over the next 14 days include: making a trip to Wolfe Island (perhaps next Sunday will be the day so I can check out the Farm Tour, or the Corn Maze that reopened last week); getting on that Kingston trolley tour! I want to see what the tourists are seeing; hitting up a Movies in the Square (only 2 left!) and maybe another visit or two to the drive-in as well.
What about you? What do you still need to get out and enjoy this summer? Or what have you done that you’d recommend to those of us who want to use up every last second of freedom? Whatever it is, do it! And enjoy what looks to be another gorgeous weekend. TGIF!
