Danielle Lennon: Strathspey

The visual component of Danielle Lennon’s Strathspey, an original composition from the composer’s debut album String Theory, was recently released to punctuate the upcoming performance of the piece by the Kingston Symphony Orchestra.  The landmark KSO performance marks the first occasion Lennon’s work will be performed by a full string orchestra, which will be under direction of conductor Evan Mitchell. Produced by Melinda Richka, this video features footage from the 1951 film titled “Bee City”.  Strathspey was recorded by Memory Device, and features Danielle Lennon (Violin), Lisa Draper (Violin), Venetia Gauthier (Violin), Jeff Hamacher (Cello), and Andy Love (Percussion).  Catch the performance of Strathspey along with Roch Carrier reading The Hockey Sweater, at the Kingston Symphony’s family concert on February 12th.
