Cirque du Soleil OVO, Kingston, OntarioSince its premier in 2009, Cirque du Soleil’s OVO has thrilled and mesmerized more than 4.5 million audience members worldwide.  As a part of the show’s global arena tour, Cirque du Soleil will touch down in Kingston from December 7th-11th for a memorable engagement at the K-Rock Centre.  With only 8 performances scheduled to take place in Kingston, OVO is bound to be one of the hottest tickets in town next month.

The show’s name is derived from the word “egg” in Portuguese, while the notion of this iconic object, which represents the cycle of life, is the focus of the captivating story told on stage.  OVO commences when a mysterious egg is delivered to a colourful rain forest that’s teeming with insects, who are awestruck and intensely curious about the mysterious new item.  In the midst of the resulting frenzied stimulation, it’s love at first sight after a quirky insect arrives in the bustling ecosystem, and a fabulous ladybug catches his eye.  The insects and critters work, play, fight and look for love in Cirque’s trademark style of non-stop movement, acrobatic stunts and moments of quiet emotion.  Performed by a cast that is comprised of 50 performing artists from 12 countries specializing in acrobatic acts, OVO is renowned for being a colourful, non-stop riot of energy in motion.

    Only time I've seen Cirque Du Soleil was in 2010!!! would love to go see it again! :)
