#ygkChallenge: Celebrate FebFest 2016!

FebFest 2016, downtown KingstonThe #ygkChallenge is an ongoing series where we dare you to be different, resolve to be better, and or do something awesome in support of our beloved community. Each week, Kingstonist establishes a new, ambitious or quirky goal, encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone and do something great, and hopefully a little out of the ordinary. By taking part in this community-wide initiative, we hope to make Kingston (and the world) a slightly better place to live, work and play.

This week’s #ygkChallenge encourages you to:

Celebrate FebFest! There may not be enough of the white stuff for much of a snow sculpture competition, maze or slide, but the conditions are right for Kingston’s wintery festivities in the shadow of City Hall.  The ice at Market Square is ready to go.  The Beaver Tails and (free) maple candy are calling your name.  NHL Legend, Ron Ellis, will be on hand.  Canadian Men’s Figure Skating Champion, Nam Nguyen, will be putting on a show you’d be sad to miss.  Queen’s and RMC will be duking it out for the Carr Harris Cup.  And if that’s not enough, you can also go on a wagon ride.  Come on out to Feb Fest and enjoy the best that Kingston has to offer in the winter.

Join us in completing this week’s #ygkchallenge by liking it on Facebook and/or re-Tweeting it on Twitter. By liking and sharing, you’re not only committing to doing something great, but you’re also helping us spread the word and hopefully encouraging others to participate.
