#ygkChallenge: Show Some Love for KFPL
The #ygkChallenge is an ongoing series where we dare you to be different, resolve to be better, and or do something awesome in support of our beloved community. Each week, Kingstonist establishes a new, ambitious or quirky goal, encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone and do something great, and hopefully a little out of the ordinary. By taking part in this community-wide initiative, we hope to make Kingston (and the world) a slightly better place to live, work and play.
This week’s #ygkChallenge encourages you to:
Show some love for KFPL! October is Canadian Library Month, and throughout the month, libraries across the country have been raising awareness regarding the valuable role these institutions play in our everyday lives. Locally, we’re very fortunate to have the Kingston Frontenac Public Library system, which welcomes users from all walks of life to their safe and inclusive branches, offering top quality media from eBooks to video games and cool resources like their new 3D printer. They also host numerous events and activities including book clubs, author and poetry readings, writing workshops, film screenings and the list goes on. You probably agree that KFPL is a real gem, so why not show them some love with a like on Facebook, and visit your favourite branch(es) to thank their amazing staff who make our library’s awesome.
Join us in completing this week’s #ygkchallenge by liking it on Facebook and/or re-Tweeting it on Twitter. By liking and sharing, you’re not only committing to doing something great, but you’re also helping us spread the word and hopefully encouraging others to participate.
Thanks to KFPL for today’s photo.
