Best Gym in Kingston
The number one New Years resolution, according The University of Scranton, is to lose weight, with staying fit and healthy ranking at number five. Considering this, I think it’s fair to say that a lot of you reading this made similar promises to yourselves four weeks ago. Maybe you’ve chosen to follow through by dusting off that gym pass you bought months ago and haven’t used as much as you would like, or perhaps you finally went out and made a commitment to a gym, personal trainer or some other form of exercise.
The type of exercise you choose is obviously a very personal thing. While many of us like to participate in team sports, exercising can also be a time for solitude, leading many folks to swim laps, head to the yoga studio, run on the treadmill or just go for a walk outside. For some of us, finding that perfect routine is the best way to pursue optimal health and once it’s found, we stick to it as our go-to. If you’re anything like me, you like to switch it up every now and then. Swim one day, go for a run the next etc.
This week we’re looking at the various options in Kingston when it comes to gyms. There is a surprising amount of choice when it comes to which facility to join and each of them has different things to offer. So we want to know:
Where do you workout?

- Kingston Military Community Sports Centre (28%, 33 Votes)

What are you looking for in a gym? Maybe being open 24 hours like Good Life fits your lifestyle best, or perhaps you like to have someone kick your butt so you choose to go to a place like Taylored Training or Focus Personal Fitness Studio. Or maybe you’re looking for a facility that offers a little bit of everything such as the YMCA or Kingston Military Community Sports Centre. Of course, cost is also a big factor and some of these options are far pricier than others. Tell us why you voted the way you did. Why do you think your facility is the best? Don’t see your gym on our list? Tell us about it and why it’s great!
Thanks to pasukaru76 for today’s photo.
I work out at home these days, using all the great learning I got from Taylored Training.
I train at Mercury Strength and Conditioning. A new facility on Cat Woods Dr in between Centennial and Gardiners. Great knowledgable coaches. Great atmosphere. TONS of room. I'm constantly seeing my strength and stamina increase! If you're not there where are ya???
I am doing the 30 Day Yoga Challenge at the fabulous Life Yoga in Kingston. It is close to my house and there are classes for every level. I am most grateful for this place because i don't have to cross the causeway or try to find a parking spot. I can just go.
