Favourite Family-Friendly Activities

Family, friendly, activities, kingston, ontarioThis past weekend, being bridged by Valentine’s Day on Friday and Family Day on Monday for those residing in Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan, saw many people across the city spending times with loved ones from near and far. If we ignore the rampant commercialization (versus “courtly love”) associated with Valentine’s, at the root of both of these days is celebrating the importance of love, friendship, families and family life. For me, the last few days have been an opportunity to take a moment and step away from the busyness of work and everyday life to spend quality time with the people (and pets!) who we love and who have and will continue to support us. It has also served as a good reminder that, at the end of the day, it’s the love of your partner, friends and family that can see you through almost anything.

I was lucky enough to have my parents and their two dogs come up from Toronto for the weekend and we had a blast making meals together, going for walks, taking in some shopping, going for country drives and enjoying a lovely meal downtown. By nature I am usually busy , but it was the quieter times at home this weekend that I enjoyed the most. For this week’s poll, I am asking:
