Guide to the 2017 Back to the Farm: MacKinnon Brothers Beer and Music Festival
On Sunday, August 20th, the MacKinnon Brothers Brewing will host their third-annual Back to the Farm: Beer & Music Festival. Billed as “a big ol’ field party”, Back to the Farm continues to showcase the brewery and farm, which serve as the backbone of the Bath-based brewing company. This year’s family-friendly festival showcases a whopping eleven local bands, beer, a handful of food trucks, vendors (bring cash), games and the always popular tours of the brewing facilities (by donation to Change for Families in Need).

They’ll also have beer, cider and wine on tap from other local producers, including: 555 Brewery, Barley Days Brewery, County Road Beer Company, King’s Town Beer Company, The Napanee Beer Company, Stone City Ales, Wild Card Brewing Company, Wolfe Island Spring Craft Brewery, County Cider Company, Keint-he Winery, Bergeron Estate Winery and Cellar 82.
Getting There
The MacKinnon Brothers have ample parking right next door to the festival. It’s free. And, if for some reason you have to leave your vehicle there overnight, that’s totally okay with them.
If you’re planning on bringing your squad, and want to let someone else worry about the driving, you’ll want to take advantage of the free shuttle. It runs back and forth between the farm and both Red House locations, with the last shuttle leaving Kingston for the farm at 8pm, and the last shuttle leaving the Farm for Kingston after the show concludes around 10:30pm.
Bottom line: plan your trip accordingly. Don’t drink and drive.
