Christmas Card from A. Y. Jackson to Isabel McLaughlin, 1950s

A. Y. Jackson, Isabel McLaughlin, Kingston, OntarioThe above image is of a Christmas card from A. Y. Jackson to Isabel McLaughlin in the 1950s. The Isabel McLaughlin papers are only one of a number of collections we hold at the Archives that have artists’ handmade cards created from paintings, watercolours, doodles, silkscreens, photographs and collage. They are like a limited edition print that these artists shared with each other over the years. McLaughlin collected all of her cards in a number of albums and represent a who’s who of Canadian artists. Come in and take a look!
