Born in 1977 and grew up all over Canada with brief stints in Comox, Cold Lake, Winnipeg, and Bagotville. Attended Universities in our nations capitol, earning a BA Hons in International History. Soon thereafter, Duke started his Masters degree in Journalism, but decided to take a break after the first semester, at which time he headed to Wonju, South Korea, to teach ESL.
In 2003, he returned to Canada to volunteer and work in Ottawa at the Canadian Museum of Nature, Ottawa Blues Fest, and the Canadian War Museum. In 2006 Duke’s sense of adventure kicked in once again, as he ventured into northern Alberta to plant trees in the summer, and work as a ski lift attendant in the winter. Two years later, he was on the move once again, and finally made his way to Kingston, which put him in close proximity to his youngest brother.
While a bit of time has passed since Dukes last adventure, he has no plans to take to the roads in the near future. Presently he’s completing additional courses towards his masters degree via correspondence, and he works as a freelance writer and researcher for various historical magazines and online journals.
